Our garments come with a talking point minizine that explains the issue you are wearing, why it is important and what you can do to help. This way the next time someone compliments your outfit, you can talk about your passion without the preach. 10% of our profits go back to a charity that works with that issue you’re wearing.

Eating Seasonally

This print is colour coded light to dark, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. No matter the colourway, this piece showcases the inherent beauty of fresh, seasonal produce and acts as a guide of what to eat and when.

Less than 1 in 10 brits know when the UK’s most popular fruit and veg is in season. The UK imports half of its vegetables and nearly 90% of its fruit. What’s more scary is that in the winter, Europe sources 80% of its fresh produce from one region in southern Spain. We’re spoilt for choice, and have become accustomed to buying whatever we want, when we want.

Wonky and Wonderful Produce

This print champions the wonky and wonderful- the beautifully misshapen fruit and vegetables that our supermarkets are all too quick to discard.

The food industry has found itself in a new wasteful system, the likes of which has never been seen before. 3 million tonnes of produce is wasted before it even leaves the farm, That could feed 20,000 people for a whole year. What’s more, produce is being rejected for cosmetic reasons- like colour, shape and size. That’s why this garment champions the wonky and wonderful- the beautifully misshapen fruit and vegetables that our supermarkets are all too quick to discard. We don’t expect people to all look the same, so why do we expect that of our food to be so uniform? In our eyes, the wonkier, the tastier (There’s definitely more personality!)

Turtles - Plastic Oceans

Adorned with majestic sea turtle illustrations, the flowing print is guaranteed to turn heads. There's nothing more fitting than the iconic turtle and its fight against ocean plastic - an unfortunate duo that have captured hearts around the world. Look closely to see the turtles swimming in and out of plastic sheeting that looks like seaweed - a mistake that happens far too often.

Our oceans are drowning in plastic. An estimated 14 million tonnes of the stuff ends up there each year. That’s a truck load of trash every single minute. And this amount is set to treble within a decade. Marine pollution is taking a stranglehold on sea life, affecting more than 800 different species, with everything from ingestion and infection to suffocation and starvation. It can take up to 1000 years for some plastics to degrade and, even then, the microplastics never truly go away.

Endangered

This print highlights the 10 most endangered species affected by Climate Change. Each one is shown in their changing habitat - the very reason their existence is under threat. From the tigers fighting flooded homeland to the bees out of sync with the seasons, this print shows how these seemingly 'small' temperature changes are causing severe, irreversible issues.

Although Climate Change is a direct result from human emissions of greenhouse gases, it is hitting nature and our wildlife first. From longer & hotter summers and variations in rainfall to natural habitats melting or becoming flooded, these slight temperature changes are having a huge impact on our beloved wildlife. The ripple effect is massive. As we know, ecosystems have a delicate balance, so when one species suffers, it throws off the whole chain. This print includes; coral reefs, oceanic birds, Bengal tigers, bees, great apes of Southeast Asia, turtles, Asian elephants, polar bears, cheetahs and frogs.

Climate

The epitome of Climate Change in a print, this design highlights the clashing weather conditions that will become ever more frequent and ever more extreme as temperatures rise.

Our planet is warming faster than at any time in the past 10,000 years. We are facing new extreme weather conditions such as drought, extreme heat, extreme precipitation, hurricanes, tornadoes and wildfires. In the past century alone, the temperature has climbed 0.7 degrees Celsius, roughly ten times faster than the average rate of ice-age-recovery warming - with 9 out of the 10 warmest years on record globally having occurred since 2005. Extreme weather events are influenced by a range of different factors. However, studies in ‘Extreme Event Attribution’ have shown that human-induced climate change makes these events more severe and more likely to happen. Other attribution analysis has shown that 69% of the 355 extreme weather events and trends between 2011 - 2019 were made more likely or more severe by human-induced climate change.

Stories

This print weaves together individual stories, highlighting the people behind the statistics with lived experience of displacement. Each individual chose two objects; something that represents their previous home (object A), and something that represents their life now (object B). A firm favourite in the Gung Ho classic illustration style - empower yourself with truly inspiring journeys, each completely individual and unique.

According to UNHCR, The UN Refugee Agency, there are now over 80 million people forcibly displaced, of which 26 million are refugees. These huge numbers are overwhelming and, to be able to process them, a lot of the time we tend to think of them only in terms of statistics, rather than people. Each person in these scary statistics is someone just like you or me who has had to undergo serious trauma to leave their lives behind and try to find somewhere safe. These stories are incredibly moving, and by wearing this print you are channelling not only their journeys, but more importantly their incredible attitudes to life. Learn with us and embrace new people and experiences in order to create the change needed for a better future for all. Let’s be part of the change, not avoid it.
